Meet the maker
Lux and Luca is me, Cassandra: one bench and one pair of hands in Denver, Colorado.
I came to Denver from Santa Barbara in 2010 with no training and a lot of nerve, and learned metal the way I learn everything: by ruining a great deal of it first. The jewelry has been my full-time work since 2016.
I make the jewelry myself. The sterling silver, 14k gold fill, brass and copper pieces are cut from sheet, filed, stamped one letter at a time with a hammer and a steel punch, then formed and polished at my bench. One strike per letter means no two Fuck It rings land the letters in exactly the same place, and the one you order is the one I made for you. Custom wording is stamped exactly as you type it, usually within 7 to 10 days.
The sweatshirts, tees and the rest say the same things in a different material. I design the sayings; most of them I press myself at home in Denver, and a few are printed to order by a partner shop.
"One part snark and sass, one part bold and elegance. Leather and lace. Motor oil and champagne."
